creepy_animated_gifs

We love cool animated gifs (who else brought you the entire collection of Google FIFA World Cup Soccer gifs?) The other day we noticed the work of Droga5 (NYC) art director and designer, Kevin Weir and his incredible use of historical black and white photographs, turning them into incredibly creepy, but expert animated GIFs.

Weir makes uses the photographs he finds in the Library of Congress online archive, and with an expert hand at Photoshop, he lets his insane and creepy imagination run wild. In fact, it practically gallops! He also also animates music videos and sassy birds.

Check out more of his animated gifs on his Tumblr, Flux Machine.
